Music-loving, craft-making, nature-worshiping, soul-searching mountain mama. 

10 things to know about me:

1. I am a self-taught painter, and I feel liberated to express myself without any formal boundaries. You can’t break any rules if you don’t know what the rules are.
   

2. I am a terrible, terrible cook. I once caught my kitchen on fire. But hey, if you keep the bar low with mediocre/disappointing meals, everyone celebrates when it’s at least edible.
   

3. My husband and I were married at the jail. We were to get married at the courthouse, but the judge wasn’t there, as planned. The city’s only other magistrate was located at the jail. It made for some great photos.
   

4. I will always be indebted to Mrs. Thompson, my elementary school music teacher/piano teacher, who created a space for me to fall madly in love with music. Thanks to her, I now share that love through my music-inspired art.
   

5. I got very lost deep into the woods during an 18-mile trail race. I ended up running 23 miles total by the time I found the way out of the forest.
   

6. My friend and I skipped school in high school when MTV came to our beach town to record shows. We thought we could get away with it. Until we later saw ourselves on TV, dancing in the audience.
   

7. I’ve moved approximately 30 times (I’ve lost count), once just across the street. No, we weren’t a military family.
   

8. I haven’t watched most movies in all genres and decades. You name it, and I probably haven’t seen it. My husband recently made me watch the first Star Wars for the first time.
   

9. I shop thrift stores as if it’s a sport. About 90% of our purchases for the family and house are from Goodwill, and I boast about the savings like an Olympic medal.  
   

10. I’ve always had a passion for music and art and knew that somehow I’d make a living out of it. I just didn’t know how until one day in 2020 it all clicked. And the rest is history.
